Sunday Service - A Brand New You

Dec 7, 2025    Rev. James Williams

This powerful message invites us to discover what it truly means to live in the grace of God during the Advent season. Drawing from Ephesians 2:1-10 and Psalm 139, we're reminded that grace is not blind—it sees us clearly in all our sinfulness and loves us anyway. Unlike human love that might overlook flaws, God's grace confronts our brokenness head-on and offers transformation regardless. The Christmas story becomes more than nostalgia; it's the ultimate demonstration that God planned salvation specifically for each of us before we ever took our first breath. We explore how 2026 can be a year of hope and restoration if we stop letting the world's temporary concerns—politics, career, identity—distract us from the eternal truth that Christ has already paid the ultimate price. The challenge presented is profound: nothing is too difficult for God, yet we often live as though we don't truly believe this. When we read Psalm 139 and see God's intimate knowledge of us—knowing our thoughts before we think them, our words before we speak them—we encounter the very personality of God. This Advent season offers us the opportunity to come into clear spiritual focus, to shake off the fog of worldly distractions, and to embrace the grace that has already made us new creations in Christ Jesus.
