How it all started...
Grace Resurrection Methodist Church was born from both faith and perseverance. In the fall of 2022, a small group of believers in East Cobb gathered with a shared desire to preserve the spirit, worship, and traditions that had long defined their community. Their first services held in borrowed spaces and led by retired pastors, Rev. Dr. Randy Mickler and Rev. Charlie Marus, echoed the pioneer roots of Methodism in Cobb County.

Expanding the vision...
As word spread, the congregation grew quickly, moving to its current home on Indian Hills Parkway. By 2024, Grace Resurrection had become a thriving, independent Methodist church rooted in Scripture, service, and grace. That year, the congregation called Rev. James Williams as its first full-time senior pastor, later joined by Associate Pastor Taylor Bacon to help lead a growing ministry among youth and families.
Where we are headed...
Grace Resurrection Methodist Church is a growing and vibrant faith community. Each Sunday, our sanctuary is filled with worshipers of all ages who come to hear God’s Word, share in fellowship, and serve together. Our ministries are expanding rapidly—from Sunday School and small groups to youth and outreach programs—so much so that we are nearly outgrowing our current space on Indian Hills Parkway.
In 2025, we joyfully celebrated our third anniversary with a church-wide picnic, filled with conversation, music, and gratitude for all God has done. As we look toward the future, we remain committed to “Living in Grace, Sharing God’s Love,” and making room for every person God brings through our doors.
